Okay, let’s get the legal stuff out of the way. I know terms and conditions are about as exciting as watching paint dry, but after running this salon for ten years, I’ve learned that being clear about expectations saves everyone headaches later.

Using Our Website and Services

When you book with us or use our website, you’re agreeing to these terms. Simple as that. If you don’t agree, that’s totally fine, but you probably shouldn’t book appointments or use our online tools.

Website Usage Our website is here to help you learn about our services and book appointments. Please don’t try to hack it, copy our content, or do anything that might break it. We worked REALLY hard to get this thing running properly!

Age Requirements You need to be at least 18 to book services or use our website. If you’re under 18, bring a parent or guardian. No exceptions on this one, sorry.

Booking and Appointments

Making Appointments You can book online or call us directly. Either way works for us. When you book, you’re committing to that appointment time. We’re committing to being ready for you.

Confirmation Process We’ll send you a confirmation email within 24 hours. If you don’t get one, PLEASE call us. Sometimes technology hiccups, and we don’t want you showing up to an empty salon.

Appointment Changes Life happens. We get it. But if you need to reschedule, give us at least 24 hours notice. Our stylists block out time specifically for you, and last-minute changes mess up everyone’s schedule.

NO-SHOW Policy Here’s the deal: if you don’t show up and don’t call, we consider that a no-show. We might charge a fee or require a deposit for future bookings. It sounds harsh, but when Maria blocks out three hours for your bridal trial and you don’t show up, that’s three hours she can’t book other clients.

Payment and Pricing

Service Prices Our prices are listed on the website and at the salon. Sometimes they change (products get more expensive, we add new services), but we’ll always tell you the price before starting any work.

Payment Methods We accept cash, credit cards, and debit cards. No checks, please. We learned that lesson the hard way years ago.

Deposits and Cancellations For bridal services and big events, we require a deposit. Usually 50% upfront. If you cancel with proper notice, you get most of it back. Cancel last minute or no-show? The deposit stays with us to cover our costs.

Gratuity Tips aren’t required but they’re definitely appreciated. Our team works hard to make you look amazing. If you’re happy with the service, showing some love is always welcome.

What We Promise (And What We Don’t)

Our Commitment We promise to show up on time, use quality products, and give you our best effort. We’ve been doing this for a DECADE, so we know what we’re doing.

Realistic Expectations We’re good at what we do, but we’re not miracle workers. If you bring us a picture of a celebrity and expect to look identical, you might be disappointed. We’ll make you look like the best version of YOURSELF.

Skin Reactions We use high-quality products, but everyone’s skin is different. If you have sensitive skin or allergies, TELL US before we start. We can do patch tests if needed. But if you don’t mention your allergies and have a reaction, that’s not our fault.

Photography Rights Sometimes we love how you look so much that we want to show you off! We might ask to take photos for our portfolio or social media. You can always say no. If you say yes, you’re giving us permission to use those photos for business purposes.

Your Responsibilities

Show Up Ready Come to your appointment with clean skin (no makeup if possible). Bring inspiration photos if you have them. Know what event you’re preparing for and what look you want.

Be Honest Tell us about allergies, skin conditions, or previous bad experiences. The more we know, the better we can help you.

Communicate If something doesn’t feel right during your service, SPEAK UP. Don’t suffer in silence and then complain later. We can’t fix problems we don’t know about.

Respect Our Space Our salon is our workspace and our pride. Don’t move equipment around, mess with products, or treat the place like your personal playground.

What Could Go Wrong (And What Happens If It Does)

Service Issues If you’re genuinely unhappy with your service, talk to us first. We’ll try to make it right. Maybe that means a touch-up, a partial refund, or rebooking with a different stylist. We want you to leave happy.

Damage or Injury We carry insurance for a reason. If something goes seriously wrong (which it shouldn’t), we’ll handle it properly. But we’re not responsible for pre-existing conditions or problems you don’t tell us about.

Limitations Here’s the legal part: our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for services. We’re not responsible for indirect damages, lost opportunities, or emotional distress. Sounds cold, but that’s how business works.

Website Terms

Content Ownership Everything on our website (text, photos, design) belongs to us. Don’t copy it for your own business. We put a lot of work into creating this content.

User Content If you leave reviews or comments, you’re giving us permission to use them. Don’t post anything false, offensive, or that violates someone else’s rights.

Technical Issues Sometimes websites crash or booking systems glitch. We’ll fix problems as quickly as possible, but we’re not responsible if technical issues prevent you from booking.

Legal Stuff

Governing Law These terms are governed by New York State law. If we end up in court (hopefully never), it’ll be in New York.

Dispute Resolution Before anyone starts talking about lawyers, let’s try to work things out directly. Most problems can be solved with a conversation.

Severability If one part of these terms is found to be invalid, the rest still applies. Legal documents are weird that way.

Changes to Terms We might update these terms occasionally. We’ll post changes on our website and notify regular clients about major updates.

Special Event Services

Bridal Services Weddings are special, and we treat them that way. We require contracts for bridal services, including trials, wedding day timeline, and backup plans. Because when it’s your wedding day, EVERYTHING needs to be perfect.

Group Services Doing makeup for your whole bridal party? Awesome! We’ll need to coordinate timing, space, and logistics. The earlier you book, the better we can accommodate your group.

Travel Services We can come to you for special events, but there are additional fees for travel, setup time, and equipment transport. Distance matters too, we’re not driving to California for a makeup appointment.

Product and Equipment

Professional Products Only We use professional-grade cosmetics and tools. Don’t ask us to use your drugstore makeup, it won’t give you the results you want.

Hygiene Standards All tools are sanitized between clients. We use disposable applicators when possible. Your health and safety are NON-NEGOTIABLE.

Product Allergies If you’re allergic to specific ingredients, bring your own products or let us know in advance so we can find alternatives.

Response Times We try to respond to emails within 24 hours. During busy seasons (prom, wedding season), it might take a bit longer.

Emergency Changes If you have a same-day emergency or need to make urgent changes, CALL instead of emailing. We check voicemail more frequently than email.

These terms might seem long and detailed, but they protect both of us. We want you to have amazing experiences at our salon, and clear expectations help make that happen.

After ten years in business, I’ve learned that most problems come from misunderstandings, not bad intentions. These terms help prevent those misunderstandings.
